Catechism Class

This Wednesday evening, January 12, immediately after Vespers, we will begin a Catechism Class. This class is open to all, inquirers and Orthodox Christians alike, and is for anyone who wants to learn about or refresh their knowledge of the Orthodox Christian Faith.

It will continue each Wednesday until the beginning of Lent. Vespers begins at 6:45 PM. The class will last from approximately 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM.

Cookies For Prisoners

On Saturday, December 18, our women’s group, The Myrrh-Bearing Women and several other members from St. Barnabas and St. Catherine in Aiken met together to package cookies for prisoners in support of Kairos Prison Ministries. One of our members, Tom Cullinan has been associated with this ministry for a number of years.

The cookies were donated by many different local stores and repackaged for distribution to the inmates. One half of the cookies were repackaged here and the other half by another group elsewhere. All together, this unit of Kairos Prison Ministries was able to spread The Love of Christ by providing every inmate at Kirkland Correctional Institution in Columbia, SC with a bag of cookies and a card.
